Job description

We are seeking a full time experienced tech assistant for our growing hospital. Do you have prior veterinary experience that wants to work in a fast paced veterinary hospital? Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, compassionate, kind and empathetic. Have a great understanding of the human - pet bond that is shared and must be willing to treat all pets as if they were your own.

Requirements:

This team-oriented working environment fosters nurturing and compassionate care for our patients. The essential duties and responsibilities include cleaning, patient care, administering medications, appropriate animal restraint, anesthetic monitoring, obtaining laboratory samples, processing in house lab samples and preparing reference lab samples, dental x-rays and cleanings, filling prescriptions, checking clients and pets into exam rooms and obtaining the medical history of the pet and being able to obtain the patients vitals.

The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted, be on your feet for the duration of the shift and be able to perform all of the physical demands of the job.

AVImark experience is a plus.

Compensation: Depending on experience, $37,000 - $47,000 and eligible for periodic bonus.
