About the Position
Pet Haven Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Technician to join our team! We're seeking someone who enjoys working with animals, values teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams, and treatments
- Safely restrain patients
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform in-house lab work (bloodwork, urinalysis) and prepare samples for outside labs
- Educate clients on medications, procedures, and preventive care
- Perform routine procedures, including nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions
Qualifications
- At least 6 months to 1 year of veterinary clinic or animal care experience preferred (not required)
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Experience with veterinary software is a plus
Schedule
- Weekday availability required
- Some weekends and occasional holidays
- Morning and evening shifts may be scheduled
