Tender Touch Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-Accredited, Cat Friendly practice. We're especially interested in technicians with surgery experience or a passion for anesthesia and surgical nursing who are excited to be part of a supportive, team-focused environment.

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you'll be highly utilized throughout the patient visit by:

  • Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and dental procedures
  • Monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical preparation and recovery
  • Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics
  • Taking and processing digital radiographs
  • Administering medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments
  • Collecting patient histories and obtaining vital signs
  • Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting daily hospital operations
  • Collaborating closely with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care

Our doctors are highly involved in patient care and work side-by-side with technicians every day. Whether it's restraining patients, collecting samples, or helping maintain workflow, everyone works together toward the same goal.


What We're Looking For

  • Current RVT, LVT, or CVT credential preferred
  • Surgery and anesthesia experience strongly preferred
  • Previous small animal clinical experience
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate patient care
  • Passion for continuous learning and helping teammates grow

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Typical schedules:
    • 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Closed Sundays
  • Closed on major holidays
  • Half days on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve
