Part-Time Kennel Technician

The beach is calling! Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Kennel Technician to join our team!

This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys staying active, and is available to work weekends and Mondays.

Schedule

• Saturdays & Sundays
• Morning care shift
• Evening care shift
• Mondays
• Daytime hours

Responsibilities

• Feed and provide fresh water to boarding dogs and cats
• Administer medications as directed
• Walk dogs and provide exercise, playtime, and enrichment
• Monitor pets for comfort, cleanliness, and overall well-being
• Bathe pets and perform basic grooming services, including ear cleaning and nail trims
• Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, cages, and common areas
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry
• Assist with reception duties, including answering phone messages, emails, making appointments, and assisting in communication between the client and doctor.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Previous animal care experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate
