River Road Pet Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys building relationships with both patients and clients. We are a well-established general practice that values thoughtful medicine, clear communication, and a supportive team environment. Our technicians play a key role in helping clients understand their pet’s care while working closely with our doctors to provide high-quality medical support.

Our hospital is continuing to grow and evolve, so we are looking for someone who is adaptable and comfortable with change as we implement new processes and ideas that support both the team and the hospital.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
• Patient restraint and nursing care
• IV catheter placement and sample collection
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
• Dental procedures and dental radiographs
• Taking diagnostic radiographs
• Preparing and running laboratory samples
• Client communication and education
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records

We are looking for someone who:

• Has prior veterinary technician experience in a general practice setting
• Is comfortable communicating with clients and discussing their pet’s care
• Works well as part of a team and supports a positive hospital culture
• Is dependable, organized, and detail oriented
• Is adaptable and open to learning new processes

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with Avimark
• Familiarity with ScribbleVet
