Job Title: Veterinary Technician / Receptionist
Job Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours per week)
Schedule: No weekends
About the Position
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician / Receptionist to join our growing animal hospital team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and working with clients at the front desk. The right candidate is dependable, compassionate, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities
Veterinary Technician Duties
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restrain animals during exams and treatments
- Collect laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal) and run in-house diagnostics
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
- Take radiographs and assist with patient monitoring
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Maintain accurate medical records
Reception Duties
- Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Check patients in and out of appointments
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
- Communicate with clients regarding appointments, medications, and basic care instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred
- Veterinary technician experience a plus (licensed or experienced technicians encouraged to apply)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with veterinary software is helpful
