Job Title: Veterinary Technician / Receptionist
Job Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours per week)
Schedule: No weekends

About the Position
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician / Receptionist to join our growing animal hospital team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and working with clients at the front desk. The right candidate is dependable, compassionate, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

Veterinary Technician Duties

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Safely restrain animals during exams and treatments
  • Collect laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal) and run in-house diagnostics
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
  • Take radiographs and assist with patient monitoring
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Maintain accurate medical records

Reception Duties

  • Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Check patients in and out of appointments
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
  • Communicate with clients regarding appointments, medications, and basic care instructions
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred
  • Veterinary technician experience a plus (licensed or experienced technicians encouraged to apply)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with veterinary software is helpful
