Job Title: Director, General Practice Business Partnership Finance
Position Summary
The Director of GP Business Partnership for Finance will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the General Practice Operations leadership team. This role is responsible for driving financial insight, operational performance, and business decision support across each GP division. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of financial acumen, operational understanding, and collaborative leadership to ensure strong alignment between Finance and Operations while supporting sustainable growth and profitability.
Reports To: VP of GP Operations and VP of Finance
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary financial liaison to Operations, aligning financial and performance metrics with operational goals across divisions and sites
• Provide proactive, data-driven insights to guide decision-making, performance improvement, and long-term planning
• Lead analysis of monthly financial performance vs. plan, highlighting revenue and expense trends and identifying risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies
• Develop consistent financial reporting tools and dashboards that enable leaders to understand site P&Ls, key KPIs, trends, and profitability drivers
• Partner with functional leaders to develop business cases for future investment, assess ROI, and track performance of key initiatives
• Lead site-level financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for Operations, ensuring alignment with General Practice business objectives
• Develop and implement standardized financial operating policies (e.g., discounting, accounts receivable management, labor, credit card usage) to drive efficiency, accuracy and consistency
• Support the implementation of Vetcove (practice information management system) by providing recommendations on the best financial practices/standards
• Manage cross functional initiatives including communication, training, and change management to promote adoption and consistency across the organization
• Build strong cross-functional relationships, fostering trust, collaboration, and accountability between Finance, Operations and other key departments
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role partnering closely with Operations
• Proven track record of driving business results through strategic financial partnership
• Expertise in P&L management, budgeting, and financial reporting in a multi-site operations setting
• Proficiency in ERP and reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, Dayforce, Power BI)
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and influencing skills
• Ability to travel to sites with Operational leaders

Compensation: The total cash compensation (base and bonus) for this role ranges from $160,000-$210,000 with opportunity for long term incentive.
