Community Engagement Specialist (Orlando, FL)

Bring pets and people together as the community champion of PetOne Veterinary in Orlando.

About the Role

We’re looking for an energetic, community-driven Community Engagement Specialist to help establish the PetOne Veterinary brand across the Orlando market.

In this role, you’ll serve as the dedicated marketing and engagement leader for a cohort of six hospitals in Orlando. This is a unique, multi-site position where you will build partnerships, plan local events, and create tailored marketing strategies for each location. You’ll play a critical part in establishing PetOne’s brand presence in a competitive market, ensuring each of your six sites feels equally supported, represented, and connected to its unique neighborhood.

If you thrive on autonomy, love connecting with people, and are motivated by bringing a new brand to life through creative storytelling and local activation, this role was made for you.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Shape a New Market: You’ll have significant creative freedom and autonomy to lead a pilot launch in a high-growth, competitive region.
  • Flexible Hybrid Model: Enjoy the freedom of a field-based role, spending approximately two days per month at each hospital location with the remainder of your work conducted remotely or at community events.
  • Diverse Community Impact: From neighborhood events to meaningful local partnerships, you’ll navigate the unique characteristics of several Orlando communities, turning brand awareness into local affection.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Join a strong, supportive team of hospital managers and leaders who are fully invested in this initiative and your success.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Multi-Site Brand Strategy

  • Develop and execute tailored marketing campaigns for each of the six Orlando hospital locations.
  • Manage and grow a vibrant social media presence, using community-based storytelling to highlight individual hospital strengths while promoting the PetOne brand.
  • Differentiate PetOne from local and national competitors through creative, hyper-local positioning.

Build Connections & Partnerships

  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with local businesses, rescues, schools, and community influencers.
  • Serve as the face of PetOne at vendor events, pop-ups, and community activations across the Orlando area.
  • Act as a bridge between hospital leadership and the community, ensuring a smooth and thoughtful brand rollout.

Drive Engagement & Growth

  • Create opportunities for pet parents to engage with their local hospitals through educational events and local initiatives.
  • Support the "soft launch" in November and "hard launch" in December with high-energy outreach and coordination.
  • Capture and share insights from activations to constantly improve our community impact and ROI.

Who You Are:

  • Social Media Savvy: You have a deep understanding of social platforms and know how to create content that stops the scroll and drives real-world action.
  • A Natural Connector: Enthusiastic, personable, and confident in building relationships with diverse stakeholders, from veterinarians to local business owners.
  • An Entrepreneurial Self-Starter: You are comfortable working autonomously without a traditional "flagship" home base and can manage your own schedule across multiple sites.
  • Highly Organized: A natural planner who can juggle the logistics of events and partnerships across six locations without letting details slip.
  • Adaptable: You enjoy navigating change and can tailor your communication style to fit different neighborhood demographics and hospital cultures.

What You Bring:

  • Marketing & Social Media Excellence: (Required) Proven experience managing social media accounts and digital marketing initiatives for a brand or business.
  • Event & Partnership Experience: (Required) 3+ years in community engagement, event planning, or brand activation.
  • Multi-Site Experience: (Preferred) Experience representing a brand across multiple units or locations.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Orlando market and a willingness to travel between locations (conveniently located within 20–25 minutes of each other).
  • High Energy: A positive mindset and the ability to maintain momentum during a fast-paced market launch.
