Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and business-minded Senior Litigation and Compliance Paralegal to support a fast-paced, nationwide legal department. This remote role is ideal for a self starter who thrives on creating order from complexity, developing practical processes, and partnering across functions to support litigation, employment, compliance, and operational initiatives.


The successful candidate will serve as a trusted member of the Legal team, managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities that will include litigation management, subpoena and records responses, e-discovery, insurance and outside counsel coordination, vendor management, data reporting, process improvement, and special projects. This position requires someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves to address both day-to-day (administrative and substantive responsibilities) and strategic needs of the department.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of litigation and pre-litigation matters, including assisting with document gathering, fact finding, witness coordination, discovery support, and collaboration with outside counsel.
  • Draft litigation holds and manage the litigation hold program.
  • Conduct legal research and fact investigations as assigned.
  • Prepare initial drafts of legal documents for attorney review, including separation agreements, responses to administrative charges, and other litigation-related materials.
  • Analyze and respond to subpoenas, record requests, and other legal process.
  • Organize and maintain investigation and litigation files including maintaining an accurate database of all litigation matters and ensuring timely case reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve litigation management, legal operations, and recordkeeping processes to increase efficiency and consistency across the Legal department.
  • Assist with invoice review and payment and settlement processing.
  • Support special projects as business needs require.

Requirements:

  • Two or four-year college degree , Bachelor’s preferred
  • Completion of paralegal school/certification
  • Minimum of ten years+ paralegal experience, including at least six years of litigation experience
  • In-house paralegal experience, especially related to employment law, strongly preferred
  • Experience in handling a broad range of litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement new processes, workflows, and tools in an evolving environment
  • Experience with adopting legal AI
  • Proven ability to work independently and successfully set up, handle and manage a caseload of competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
  • Facility with Microsoft Office including Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and litigation management applications and tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence and quality of work
  • Ability to coordinate and work with internal clients (at all levels in the organization), outside counsel, and vendors (including those associated with electronic discovery) and others associated with litigation matters
  • Sound discretion and judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to be a team player willing to assist with other assignments, projects, cases and matters within Legal

The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$97,000 annually. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
