*Please note: this is a temporary assignment with an anticipated duration of 12–18 months. Employment is subject to business needs and project requirements.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a talented, entrepreneurial Product Manager to help change how we care for animals.

NVA is bringing new digital services and experiences to pet parents and scaling innovation for our veterinary care teams. This role will help lead a multi-year program to change the digital experience and associated technologies for our hospital care teams, mature our approach to data analytics, and articulate our broader tech-enabled growth strategy.

Reporting to Product Director, Innovation, you’ll join a growing team of product professionals, clinicians, and engineers, working in a fast-paced environment to develop and scale technologies for tens of thousands of veterinary professionals and millions of pet parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital product leader: Owning the user and market research, strategy, prioritization and partnerships for improving digital experience in our hospitals.
  • Roadmap Development: Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines key milestones, features, and timelines.
  • Data strategist: Tying together the above with our capabilities on data and analytics to help us drive new insight and experiences at large scale. Examples include identifying and activating new use data and analytics use cases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to drive alignment around the product roadmap and key business initiatives.
  • Measuring success: Collecting and synthesizing user feedback and product data to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.

Key Competencies:

  • Communication/Collaboration Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand, define, and prioritize problems; ability to communicate and convey insights through written documents/presentations and effective data visualizations with veterinarians, engineers, accountants, and everything in between.
  • Data-driven decision-making Dives into SQL and qualitative research, comfortable with ambiguous information, takes directional information and can communicate the insight. Skill in using analytics and metrics to evaluate product performance, make informed decisions, and guide future enhancements.
  • Strategic Thinking Ability to align product goals with organizational objectives, ensuring that initiatives contribute to broader business strategies and outcomes.
  • Experienced in digital product strategy. Experience synthesizing large amounts of inputs into a clear approach, articulate the experience we want to build, and organize a plan for achieving it. Leading candidates will have experience doing this across marketing, engineering, product, and operations teams, ideally in a multi-site retail or consumer-facing context.
  • Outcomes-oriented. Instinct to measure the value we’re creating.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in digital strategy and transformation, innovation, product management, and/or consulting
  • Manager-level experience in a nationally scoped firm, with a focus on digital strategy, product management and delivery, and data analytics.
  • Proven success deploying complex digital experiences at large scale
  • Strong understanding of digital product management and strategy, ecommerce, data-driven analysis, consumer-facing businesses, and data analytics strategy and delivery.
  • Top-notch ability to communicate and build relationships across varied groups
  • Examples of transparent leadership to positive outcomes

Leading candidates are likely to have experience in animal health services, consumer retail businesses, or multi-site healthcare contexts; and/or bring a mix of technical and business acumen.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • The people. You will be surrounded by talented, supportive, smart, and kind leaders/teams-people you will be proud to work with and who also have fun.
  • The business. We work for the love of animals and the people who love them. We enjoy driving a successful business while living our values and our “why”.
  • The opportunity. Your days and projects will offer variety with the opportunity to gain operational, cross-functional, and executive leadership exposure as a trusted internal business partner. You would have the opportunity to help build and shape a fast-growing, global company within a high-growth, exciting industry.
