Pet Samaritan Clinic is a well-established, small animal practice located in the heart of Portland. For more than 100 years, we have proudly served our community with a commitment to high-quality medicine, compassionate care, and meaningful client education. Our focus has always been on supporting both pets and the people who love them, and that philosophy continues to guide everything we do today.


We provide comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and select pocket pets and are equipped to support a wide range of cases in-house. Our hospital offers ultrasound, advanced dentistry, and a variety of surgical procedures, allowing our doctors to practice thorough, modern medicine. We are fully paperless and utilize AviMark to keep workflows efficient and organized.

The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join the Pet Sam family. We believe great medicine starts with a healthy, supported team, and we place a strong emphasis on work-life balance without compromising patient care. Our veterinarians are encouraged to practice medicine thoughtfully and sustainably, with time and support to do things the right way. We would welcome either full-time or part-time scheduling.


About the Hospital


  • In-house laboratory c
  • apabilities including selected blood chemistries, urinalysis and sediment analysis, PCV/TP, FeLV testing, and multiple ELISA tests
  • IDEXX full-service clinical and pathology laboratory support
  • In-house ECGs, run and interpreted on site
  • In-house ultrasound
  • Digital dental radiography and digital radiography
  • Isoflurane anesthesia with blood pressure monitoring and pulse oximetry
  • Multiple wet tables with a strong focus on dentistry
  • AviMark practice management software
