Since 1983, Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital has proudly served dogs and cats across Monmouth County, the Jersey Shore, and New Jersey. We are a large, multi-departmental AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free, and Cat-Friendly practice, located in a modern, state-of-the-art facility just minutes from the beach.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our surgical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced doctors on both routine and advanced procedures. What You’ll Do

· Assist veterinarians during general and advanced surgical procedures, including orthopedic surgery

· Confidently monitor patients under anesthesia using a variety of monitoring equipment

· Perform dental cleanings: dental radiographs, charting, scaling, and polishing

· Prepare patients for surgery and maintain sterile fields

· Support hospitalized surgical patients with postoperative care

· Participate in ongoing cross-training opportunities across multiple hospital departments

Who We’re Looking For

· A CVT or a veterinary technician with 1–2+ years of surgery/anesthesia experience

· Interest and some experience in dentistry and dental radiology

· Confidence with anesthesia monitoring

· A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused culture

· A technician who is eager to learn, grow, and expand their skills in advanced medicine
