We are seeking a candidate with strong background in staff training and procedural instruction, capable of effectively teaching team members essential techniques and ensuring adherence to operational standards.

Who You Are:

  • Veterinary Technician (in Arizona​*) with at least 5 years of experience required​*
  • Experience in an Emergency setting preferred but not required
  • RECOVER BLS or ALS certification preferred
  • Worked with sick patients providing kennel-side nursing care and treatments
  • Skilled in blood draws, IV catheterization, and bandage or wound care
  • Comfortable handling and safely restraining cats and dogs sometimes in a high-stress environment
  • Technology savvy and able to adapt to different veterinary practice software systems
  • Able to induce, monitor, and care for complex medical patients under anesthesia
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures including using in-hospital laboratory equipment and digital radiology
  • Strive to provide every client with compassion and care
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to instruct and train team members on operational procedures and technical skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assist with hospitalized patient care, including performing or assisting with physical examinations, administering medications, monitoring fluid levels and vital signs.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Run tests utilizing in-hospital laboratory equipment, electrocardiograms, blood pressure monitoring, and digital radiology.
  • Client Communication: Educate clients, provide compassionate support, present recommended treatment plans with estimated costs, and review discharge instructions.
  • Veterinarian Assistance: Carry out tasks, verbal or written, as requested by the veterinarian to support diagnostic and treatment processes.
  • Medical Record Documentation: Enter all treatment and diagnostic documentation and ensure patient charges are accurate, complete, and follow hospital policy
