St. Joe Center Veterinary Hospital is growing! We are adding a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant position to begin immediately. A few areas this position is responsible for is assisting the DVM in appointments, assisting technicians, charting, filling prescriptions, running urine/fecal samples, client communication, light cleaning, and answering phones. We are a very fast paced office! The best candidate for this position needs to be dependable, flexible, able to multi-task, have the ability to take direction, team oriented, but still be able to take initiative and work alone. We are open 5 days a week with no weekends. This is a permanent position and you must be able to work four 8-10 hour days a week, with requirements of standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting, walking. We offer health insurance, 401k, staff discounts, family/friends discount, and a scrub allowance after 90 days. Experience in the veterinary field is preferred but not required.
