At Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch, we are a fast paced clinic with a 4 doctor practice in Farmers Branch, TX seeking an experienced Veterinary Customer Service Representative to join our team. Our mission is to improve the comfort and well-being of patients by providing progressive and compassionate veterinary care at an affordable cost. We are a full-service animal hospital providing care to dogs, cats and exotics and offer such as routine medical, surgical and dental care.

Job Description

The Customer Service Representative goal is to provide the best possible personalized care to our clients. They must be a friendly and mature individual who works well with an upbeat team and possesses customer service skills. Their daily routine will be answering multi-line telephones, maintaining an appointment calendar, client records, checking clients in/out, inform clients on our services /pricing.  

As a Customer Service Representative you will do

  •          Welcome all clients with a cheerful greeting, answer phones, take messages and answer basic client questions.
  •          Receive and place multi-line calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling.
  •          Ensuring reception area is clean and orderly for clients and pets
  •          Maintain proper documentation of client and pet records, i.e. referral documentation, previous medical history received, etc.
  •          Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  •         Assist clients by providing necessary instructions, client information, invoices and dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions.
  •          Manage the financial needs of the clinic by maintaining accurate balances and following all cash and credit card handling procedures
  •          Follow proper opening and closing procedures.
  •          Excellent customer service skills with an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner.
  •          Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, health needs, treatment recommendations and all other hospital services/procedures.
  •         Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pet and other team members.
  •          Demonstrate ability to show empathy and compassion toward clients and pets.

Qualifications

  •          High school diploma or equivalent
  •          1+ years of experience
  •          Must have knowledge of veterinary terminology, supplies and procedures
  •          Confident in your skillset and readiness to learn
  •          Must be bright, friendly and an effective  communicator
  •          Professional appearance required; scrubs worn at all times
  •          Work well independently and in a group setting
