Animal Oasis Veterinary Hospital is a small general animal practice dedicated to providing progressive, gold-standard veterinary care in a collaborative and people-first environment. Position Overview: Surgery Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a credentialed technician or a highly skilled veterinary technician with strong surgical and dental experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality medical environment.

You will play a critical role in surgical and dental procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care while working closely with veterinarians and a supporting staff who value teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.




Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in soft tissue surgical procedures and perioperative patient care
  • Perform veterinary dentistry, including dental radiographs, scaling, probing, and charting
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals before, during, and after procedures
  • Utilize in-house diagnostics to support patient care and treatment planning
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold high standards of patient safety
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional client and patient experiences
  • Participate in continuing education and ongoing training opportunities



Qualifications

  • CVT or 2–5 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience with a strong surgical background
  • Proficiency in dental radiography, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical support
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation medical environment
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Passion for veterinary medicine, initiative, and professional development



Schedule, Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience
  • Sign-On Bonus: $500, paid after the first 90 days
  • Scheduling Flexibility:
    • Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
    • Rotating Saturdays with flexibility to accommodate individual needs
