We are seeking a full-time senior veterinary technician at Overland Animal Hospital to join our team. This technician would ideally have some leadership experience, attention to detail, and be ready to hit the ground running skill-wise. For example, being familiar with running anesthesia, providing animal care before and after surgery, and well versed in running exam rooms. Our team is fun-loving, efficient, and reliable, and we hope to add someone similar!

Veterinary technician responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with diagnostic procedures, client communication, patient care/coordinating the care of animals with other staff members, and tracking animal recovery as needed. Ultimately, you will work with veterinarians and other staff members to ensure animals in our facilities are healthy and receive the best care possible. This position requires at least 1-2 years in a veterinary surgical environment. We expect that our ideal candidate would also be able to assist with appointments, medication refills, client communication, and other necessary tasks. The senior position would ideally also entail some management duties: managing colleagues, inventory, scheduling, etc, depending on experience and desires of the candidate.

Overland Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is a beautiful, fully-equipped facility. In addition to procedures such as vaccinations, routine surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries and dentals; we have a variety of diagnostic equipment available. This includes, but is not limited to: ultrasound, surgical electrocautery, cold laser, computerized electrocardiology (ECG), digital radiology and dental radiographs. Technicians are utilized to their fullest potential in the areas of surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiology, laboratory, nursing care, and client education. The base hourly range for this position is $24-$28/hr. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
