The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) supports veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to patients while ensuring a positive experience for clients. This role involves clinical, laboratory, and client communication responsibilities in a fast-paced veterinary setting.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments

  • Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical and dental procedures

  • Perform dental cleanings and dental radiography

  • Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)

  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed

  • Obtain accurate patient histories and maintain detailed medical records

  • Safely restrain animals for procedures and treatments

  • Take and process radiographs (X-rays)

  • Educate clients on medications, post-operative care, and preventive health

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment and surgical areas


Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in good standing

  • Strong knowledge of animal care and veterinary medical procedures

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes

  • Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods

  • Work in a clinical environment with exposure to animals and medical equipment

Compensation: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour (~$48,000 – $54,000 annually, based on full-time hours)
