Licensed Veterinary Technician Job | Billings, MT

Shiloh Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing medical team in Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a credentialed technician who enjoys hands-on medicine, anesthesia monitoring, client education, and working as part of a fully integrated care team.

Licensure in Montana is preferred; credentialed technicians licensed in other states are encouraged to apply, as transferable licensure and equivalent credentials will be considered.

Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

  • Monitor anesthesia and provide surgical support
  • Assist with spay/neuter and soft tissue surgery
  • Rotate between exam rooms and treatment/surgical care
  • Educate clients on preventive care and treatment recommendations
  • Support diagnostics, laboratory work, and patient recovery
  • Partner with doctors to deliver thorough, compassionate care
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members

Schedule

  • Full-time (38–40 hours/week)
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Monday–Friday: 7:00am–6:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm (rotating, typically 2 Saturdays/month)

Compensation

  • $18–$22/hour, depending on licensure, experience, and clinical skill set
  • Newer LVTs with limited clinical experience may start slightly lower with growth potential

Qualifications

  • Active LVT / CVT / RVT license (Montana or transferable out-of-state credential)
  • Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical support skills
  • Comfortable rotating between appointments and treatment
  • Excellent communication and client education abilities
  • Collaborative, team-first mindset
