Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

We are well-established, non-emergency veterinary practice in Yuma, Arizona seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. This position focuses primarily on preventative care, routine appointments, and surgical support in a calm, organized environment- no after-hours emergencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• ·Assist DVM with routine surgeries (spays, neuters, dentals, mass removals)
• ·Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• ·Obtain and process lab samples (blood, urine, fecal)
• ·Take and interpret vital signs and patient histories
• ·Place IV catheters, administer medications, and assist with radiology
• ·Educate clients on preventive care and post-operative instructions
• ·Maintain accurate medical records
• ·Support hospital cleanliness and patient safety

QUALIFICATIONS

• ·Current Certified/Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician in Arizona
• ·Strong anesthesia and surgical assisting skills
• ·Compassionate, patient-focused approach
• ·Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• ·Excellent communication skills and client service skills
• ·Motivated self-starter who takes initiative without constant direction.
