We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy four-doctor team at Marbletown Animal Hospital. This leadership role is ideal for someone who excels in client service, front desk organization, and supporting a positive, efficient hospital environment.

Position Overview:
The Lead Receptionist oversees front desk operations and ensures a welcoming, organized, and efficient client experience. This role is responsible for guiding reception workflow, supporting team members, and maintaining clear communication between clients and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the reception team in daily front desk operations
  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain a positive client experience
  • Manage scheduling, phone calls, emails, and text communications, including screening service needs
  • Process payments for visits, medications, and products, and assist with overdue account follow-up as needed
  • Maintain accurate client records and enter service information into practice management software
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable
  • Assist with training new front desk team members
  • Help resolve client concerns in a professional and efficient manner
  • Support overall front desk workflow and daily hospital operations

Qualifications:

  • Veterinary reception experience preferred
  • Must be computer savvy with strong customer service skills
  • Friendly, positive attitude with the ability to effectively de-escalate situations
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized, dependable, and team-oriented

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible scheduling
  • Must be available to work one Saturday per month
  • Hospital hours:
    • Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Wednesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $18–$22/hour based on experience
