Lead Veterinary Technician

Pay: $25–$30/hour

As our Lead Veterinary Technician, you'll have the opportunity to help build a positive team culture, mentor technicians and assistants, and partner closely with hospital leadership to continue improving workflows and patient care.

Your Impact

As our Lead Veterinary Technician, you'll divide your time between providing exceptional patient care and leading the technician team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading by example on the treatment floor 

  • Assisting veterinarians with appointments, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and patient treatments 

  • Training and onboarding new technicians and veterinary assistants 

  • Coaching team members through regular feedback and one-on-one meetings 

  • Helping develop and maintain clinical protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 

  • Improving workflow efficiencies and helping appointments move smoothly throughout the day 

  • Assisting with technician scheduling and daily staffing needs 

  • Encouraging teamwork, accountability, and professional growth 

  • Supporting a collaborative, positive culture built around communication and patient care 

  • Maintaining a calm, low-stress environment for patients and clients 

We're Looking For

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred 

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) encouraged to apply 

  • Candidates with 5+ years of hands-on veterinary technician experience and demonstrated leadership experience will also be considered 

  • Strong surgical and anesthesia experience 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Positive, encouraging leadership style 

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills 

  • Passion for mentoring others and helping teams succeed 

  • Commitment to high-quality medicine and exceptional client service 

Schedule

We value work-life balance and flexibility.

  • Flexible 4-day or 5-day work week 

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $25–$30/hour based on experience
