Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Remote (with travel)

Company: National Veterinary Associates (NVA)

Department: Project Management Office (PMO)

Job Summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Project Manager to support strategic hospital initiatives within our veterinary network. This role sits within the Project Management Office and is responsible for driving day-to-day coordination, implementation activities, and hospital readiness efforts.

The Project Manager will own detailed project plans, milestone tracking, and cross-functional coordination to ensure hospitals are fully prepared for launch. This includes managing timelines aligned to construction and facility updates, technology enablement, training schedules, and operational workflow changes. The role requires hands-on follow-through — confirming dependencies are met, materials are delivered, stakeholders are aligned, and hospital teams have what they need to execute successfully.

This position works closely with Real Estate, IT, Marketing, Medical, Field Operations, and hospital leaders to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and keep execution on track. The Project Manager will proactively identify risks, escalate blockers, monitor readiness checkpoints, and reinforce standard processes to ensure consistent rollout across sites.

Success in this role requires strong organizational discipline, comfort operating in fast-moving environments, and the ability to balance detailed coordination with clear, practical communication to hospital teams. The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring initiatives are implemented smoothly while maintaining continuity of care and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Implementation

·Manage and coordinate implementation and transition projects from initiation through completion

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, task tracking, and key deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across Operations, Medical, People Teams, IT, Marketing, and Facilities
  • Monitor progress, dependencies, and risks to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
  • Provide regular status updates and communicate expectations clearly to identified stakeholders
  • Identify issues early, recommend solutions, and escalate as appropriate to support successful execution

Enablement & Transition Support

  • Support hospital teams through operational transitions by ensuring readiness and adherence to established implementation plans
  • Assess the impact of changes on workflows, people, and processes and help facilitate smooth adoption
  • Provide on-site support during key transition phases, including readiness and go-live periods
  • Partner with field leadership to support post-transition stabilization and effective handoff and go-forward ownership

Training Support & Reinforcement

  • Deliver and/or coordinate limited training related to workflows, tools, and customer experience expectations
  • Reinforce existing training materials and ensure teams know how to access ongoing resources
  • Support consistent adoption of processes without responsibility for creating new training programs

Collaboration & Communication

  • Facilitate collaboration between functional departments and hospital teams to support aligned execution
  • Support communication efforts by reinforcing clear messaging to reduce disruption and resistance to change
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and status summaries to track progress and outcomes
  • Manage multiple initiatives concurrently while maintaining alignment with PMO priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience in project management, implementation, operations, or field-based roles
  • Strong understanding of project management tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrixed environments
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Experience using project management software and tools

Travel

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including multi-day site visits during active implementations
