Join Our Team at Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital!
Are you a compassionate veterinarian ready to grow your career in one of California's most beautiful coastal communities? We're looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our thriving, two-hospital practice — a cornerstone of Ventura County for almost 40 years.
Grow Your Skills in a Full-Service Practice
From a puppy's first visit to a senior pet's ongoing care, our hospitals are equipped to support patients at every stage of life. We offer a full suite of general wellness services — including preventive care, vaccinations, dentistry, nutrition counseling, and parasite control — backed by in-house diagnostics like ultrasound and radiography. Our surgical capabilities include spay & neuter, soft tissue surgery, and cryosurgery, while our specialized services extend to cardiology, dermatology, laser therapy, acupuncture, and tonometry. When the time comes, we also provide compassionate end-of-life care, including euthanasia, cremation, and grief counseling.
What's In It for You:
- $140,000 - $160,000 base salary (based on experience) + production bonuses
- Up to $50K sign-on bonus + retention bonus potential
- 4-day work week — no holidays, no burnout
- Multi doctor practice backed by an experienced, tight-knit support team
- Unmatched financial and professional growth potential
- CE allowance, malpractice coverage, license renewal & 2 memberships covered
- Full benefits including 401(k) with employer matching
Rooted in Community
We don't just treat pets — we invest in our community. From supporting local animal rescues to partnering with the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, we're proud to be a practice that gives back.
Live & Work on the California Coast
Imagine finishing your 4-day work week and heading to the beach. Ventura County puts you minutes from Malibu, Santa Barbara, and Ojai, with year-round sunshine, world-class dining, wine country, surfing, whale watching, and a pet-friendly lifestyle that's hard to beat.
Qualifications:
