Veterinary Technician (RVT/CVT/LVT)

South Suburban Animal Hospital

5100 Brockway Dr, Perrysburg, OH 43551

Growing Hospital. Advanced Medicine. Fully Utilized Technicians.

South Suburban Animal Hospital is growing, and so is our team.

With a new DVM joining the hospital and expanded services including orthopedic surgery, we are looking to add passionate Veterinary Technicians (RVT/CVT/LVT) who want to be fully utilized, continue learning, and make a real impact every day.

This is a fast-paced hospital where technicians are respected, trusted, and empowered to work at the top of their skill set. Our doctors diagnose and prescribe — our technicians do the rest. From surgical assisting and anesthesia to appointments, patient care, diagnostics, and client education, technicians are truly the backbone of our hospital.

If you are looking for a hospital where your skills are valued, your growth is supported, and your team genuinely enjoys working together, we would love to meet you.

Why Veterinary Technicians Love Working Here

Fully Utilized Technicians

Our technicians are highly trained and heavily involved in both general practice and surgery. Team members:

  • Run technician appointments
  • Assist with advanced procedures
  • Perform anesthesia monitoring
  • Handle diagnostics and treatments
  • Work closely alongside doctors as true partners in patient care

This is a hospital where your education and skills are respected.

Growth & Learning Opportunities

We are continuing to expand our services, including orthopedic surgery, and are investing in additional CE and development opportunities for our team.

Whether you love surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, low-stress handling, client education, or patient care, there is room to grow your interests here.

Fear Free & Low-Stress Handling Focused

Our team is passionate about providing exceptional patient care through Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques. We believe great medicine starts with compassion and patient advocacy.

A Positive, Team-Oriented Culture

We work hard, but we also genuinely enjoy working together.

Our hospital is filled with long-term team members who love mentoring and supporting one another. Several team members have grown from assistants into technicians here and have been part of the hospital for 10+ years.

We are professional, collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented — while still making time for fun team events, kayaking outings, and celebrating together outside of work.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

We know veterinary medicine can be demanding, which is why we prioritize creating schedules that allow our team to plan their lives outside of work.

We offer:

  • Full-time or part-time opportunities
  • Consistent scheduling with set days off
  • Only 2 closing shifts per week for full-time team members
  • Yearly Saturday schedules provided in advance
  • Flexibility and support for work-life balance

Benefits

Full-time team members are eligible for:

  • Competitive compensation: $___ – $___/hour

  • 401(k)
  • CE allowance & growth opportunities
  • License reimbursement
  • Uniform allowance/provided uniforms
  • Employee pet discounts
  • Generous PTO

Community-Focused Care

We are proud to be deeply connected to the Perrysburg community. Over the years, our team has helped spay/neuter more than 1,200 cats and helped them find homes. We also proudly partner with local organizations, including support for Ohio Patrol dogs.

Giving back to our community is part of who we are.
