Starting at $16+/hour, based on experience | Full-time | 4-day workweek | Every 3rd Saturday


Pawleys Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our 3-doctor small animal practice in Pawleys Island, SC. We are seeking a technician who is confident in patient care, anesthesia monitoring, surgery, dentistry, recovery, and client communication.

What You'll Do


As a Veterinary Technician, you will support our veterinarians and patients throughout the day, including:

  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
  • Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental radiography
  • Provide patient monitoring, recovery, and inpatient care
  • Assist with appointments, treatments, diagnostics, and outpatient care
  • Communicate with clients regarding patient care, medications, and treatment plans
  • Provide compassionate patient handling using Fear Free techniques
  • Support safe, efficient daily hospital workflow
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians and other members of the veterinary team

Schedule


  • 4-day workweek
  • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • One scheduled weekday off each week
  • Work every 3rd Saturday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • Consistent schedule designed to support work-life balance

What We're Looking For


We are interested in candidates who have:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician or LVT, CVT, RVT
  • 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
  • Experience with dental procedures and dental radiography
  • Strong patient care and handling skills
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • A commitment to Fear Free and Cat Friendly patient care
