Job Description: We are seeking a part-time versatile and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant/Customer Service Representative Float. This unique position requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable working both in a clinical setting assisting veterinarians and in a front-desk role providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians and other veterinary assistants with animal handling, restraint, and medical procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures and diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suite.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and addressing client inquiries.
  • Process payments and accurately maintain financial records.
  • Educate clients on various topics including preventative care, medication administration, and general pet wellness.
  • Handle client concerns and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to float between clinical and front-desk duties as needed.
