Savannah Animal Hospital in Lewes, Delaware is seeking to hire a Kennel Attendant to join our amazing team!
The successful candidate(s) must:
Have some Kennel experience (working at a Veterinary clinic, Shelter, daycare, or even taking care of own pets) Training is available
have strong communication skills
have a flexible schedule
part-time available- weekends/holidays a must, no exceptions!
is dependable, reliable, PUNCTUAL and organized
works well on a team
able to keep an efficient log on patients in clinic
able to multitask in a busy environment
lift and carry up to 40lbs
stand and walk for long periods of time
reliable transportation
Kennel attendants provide the basic needs of animals that are being boarded, or in daycare.
General duties include but are not limited to:
cleaning( this means anything & everything) and sanitizing cages, boarding area, bathrooms etc.
feeding and caring for canines and felines (occasionally pocket pets like hamsters)
walking canines (no matter the weather), changing feline litter pans
doing laundry & washing, sanitizing pet dishes
cleaning and maintaining hospital interior and outside premises (this includes the lobby, lunchroom, groom room, storage room & any other part of the Hotel that needs attending to)
checking on all patients throughout the day
prepare pets for dismissal
giving medications to boarding patients (will provide training)
communicates to Vets/Techs about patients' health that are being boarded.
The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients and the highest quality medical and boarding care to their pets.
The Full-Timepositions work up to 10 hours pershift and Part time are scheduled for around the needs of the business.
Priority will be given to applicants with Veterinary and or Kennel experience. Pay rate will be determined by experience.
Full-Time positions are eligible for Health, Dental, Vision insurance and 401K
Scrubs will be provided
The base hourly range for this position is $15-$18. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
