Old Derby Animal Hospital is excited to continue growing! With the recent expansion of our hospital - including the addition of two new exam rooms and a redesigned “soft” exam space - we are increasing our capacity to better serve our clients and patients. As we grow to 9 exam rooms, we are looking to add a full-time or part-timeAssociate Veterinarian to our collaborative and supportive team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian with 2+ years of experience who is looking to practice high-quality medicine in a well-supported, team-oriented environment. While experience is preferred, we are committed to providing mentorship and continued development to help you grow in your clinical interests. Our hospital practices an elevated GP model, offering more advanced services such as chemotherapy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and access to cardiology and internal medicine support - allowing you to practice a higher level of medicine without frequent referrals. We're also deeply committed to personalized wellness and preventative care, building lasting partnerships with pet parents to support our patients throughout every stage of life.

What You Can Expect

  • Collaborative, team-driven environment where you’re never practicing solo
  • Highly skilled and supportive staff, including a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio
  • A culture that values communication, mentorship, and shared knowledge

Schedule

  • 4-day work week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday + a flexible 4th day
  • Evening hours required:
    • Wednesday & Thursday shifts ending at 8 PM
    • Start times vary (10 AM, 11 AM, or 12 PM based on preference)
    • Last appointments scheduled around 7:00–7:30 PM, with built-in admin time
    • Expect to wrap up and leave close to 8 PM!
  • Some weekend availability may be included

Compensation

  • Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Production model designed to support high-quality medicine and sustainable growth
  • Sign-on and Relocation Bonuses available
