What You'll Do

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you'll play a central role in supporting our doctors, caring for patients, and keeping the hospital running smoothly. Responsibilities include:

Assisting veterinarians with appointments, examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.

Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, injections, and medication administration.

Assisting with surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and patient recovery.

Taking and assisting with radiographs, dental radiographs, and other diagnostic imaging.

Running in-house lab tests and preparing samples for outside reference labs.

Monitoring hospitalized patients and communicating status changes to the doctor.

Communicating clearly with clients regarding patient care, home instructions, and follow-up.

Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting pharmacy workflows.

Keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.

Mentoring and supporting veterinary assistants and newer team members as needed.

Who You Are

Current Virginia Licensed Veterinary Technician license.

Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.

Strong technical skills across patient care, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics.

Clear communicator with clients, doctors, and teammates.

Organized, calm, and composed in a busy hospital environment.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate medical records.

Team-first mindset with professionalism, reliability, and accountability.

Genuinely coachable and eager to keep growing.

Comfortable with practice management software and computers

Able to safely lift and restrain pets as needed

$27–$34/hour, based on experience and skill level.
