Are you a skilled Veterinary Technician looking to grow your career in a supportive and dynamic environment? Hanover Park Animal Care Center is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Client Communication & Education:

    • Obtain patient histories

    • Explain discharge and medication instructions

    • Conduct follow-up and progress calls
      (On-site training available)

  • Patient Handling & Medical Support:

    • Restrain animals and assist doctors during exams

    • Provide care and treatment to hospitalized patients

    • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placements

    • Assist with surgical prep and recovery, including anesthesia monitoring

    • Conduct basic in-house lab work and pre-surgical screenings

    • Perform dental cleanings under anesthesia

    • Take digital radiographs
      (On-site training available for all tasks above)

  • Hospital Support Duties:

    • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

    • Sterilize surgical instruments

    • Answer phone calls and help with appointment scheduling as needed
      (On-site training available)


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine (preferred)

  • Weekend availability (required)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (more with assistance)

  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and PPE usage


Position Details:

  • Job Type: Full-Time

  • Pay:The base hourly range for this position is $15.00 - $21.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • This position is also eligible for a periodic bonus.
