Part-Time Veterinary Technician

Table Mountain Veterinary Clinic – Colorado

Table Mountain Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Technician to join our established, four-doctor practice in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This role is ideal for an experienced technician looking for meaningful clinical work with true scheduling flexibility in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Our hospital operates at the intersection of general practice and urgent care, serving a loyal client base and striving to see same-day urgent cases whenever possible. The medicine is engaging, the team is experienced, and no two days look the same.

Why This Part-Time Role Stands Out

  • Highly flexible scheduling — we are genuinely open to non-traditional schedules
  • Previous success with dental-focused shifts (ex: M/W/Th, 9am–2pm)
  • Opportunity to tailor hours around family, school, or other commitments
  • Part-time role with hands-on, meaningful technician responsibilities
  • A stable, experienced team with strong doctor tenure (9–30+ years in practice)

About the Practice

  • Four-doctor team with deep roots in the community
  • Doctor-forward model — technicians focus on procedures, diagnostics, and patient care
  • Dedicated surgery days with active technician involvement (dentals, spay/neuter, foreign body surgeries)
  • In-house IDEXX laboratory and collaboration with radiology specialists
  • Occasional exposure to exotic cases in addition to companion animal medicine
  • Leadership that prioritizes culture and makes thoughtful choices to support a positive, compassionate work environment

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Perform venipuncture, collect and run lab samples, and take diagnostic radiographs
  • Place IV catheters, administer medications and fluids, and monitor anesthesia
  • Support dental procedures including scaling and polishing
  • Assist with surgical preparation and patient recovery
  • Maintain accurate medical records and a clean, organized treatment area

Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician experience required
  • RVT/CVT/LVT credential preferred but not required
  • Strong technical skills, especially dentals and laboratory work
  • Reliable, team-focused, and comfortable jumping in where needed
  • Compassionate and professional approach with patients and clients

Compensation & Part-Time Benefits

  • $17–$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials
  • Paid sick time
  • Employee discounts
  • Exceptional pet care benefits — most services covered for personal pets (excluding anesthesia and select large lab tests)
