Veterinary Technician Supervisor (CVT)

What we are looking for:

The Technician Supervisor, assists our Managing Veterinarian and Hospital Manager in the hiring, development, training, and ongoing performance assessment of our technical staff. They demonstrate excellent veterinary medical knowledge and technical skill and have the ability and demeanor to share that knowledge and skill with others. They are a vital member of our Hospital Leadership Team and participate in bi-weekly Team Lead meetings and monthly Full Team meetings to help shape the future of our business.

Qualities of a Technician Supervisor:

You possess a strong customer service background and have the skills to collaborate with all levels of management, and with direct reports, for positive team work outcomes. You demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. You are coachable, approachable, and you maintain appropriate, positive, interpersonal relationships with your team. You demonstrate the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations and resolve conflict. You provide compassionate care for patients while aiding veterinarians in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work. You have the ability to balance multiple priorities and you thrive in a team environment.

Requirements for this position include:

CVT with active Pennsylvania license is required. Five years' work experience as a Veterinary Technician is preferred.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job—work requires lifting, carrying, and restraining animals, ability to independently lift animals up to 50lbs, and standing/squatting/kneeling for extended periods of time.

Must be 18 years old or older and a graduate of an accredited veterinary technology program.
