- Client Relations: Greet clients warmly, check patients in/out, and manage the waiting area flow.
- Communications: Manage a multi-line phone system, monitor emails, and triage incoming emergency inquiries.
- Scheduling: Coordinate appointment calendars for wellness exams, surgeries, and urgent care.
- Financial Processing: Review cost estimates, process payments, and balance the daily cash drawer.
- Medical Records: Update digital patient files and input correct medical history data.
- Compassionate Support: Provide empathetic guidance to owners during high-stress situations or emotional end-of-life choices.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary front desk experience preferred but not required
- Outstanding verbal communication, conflict-resolution abilities, and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and remain calm around animal noises, unpleasant odors, waste, or potential bites/scratches
- High school diploma or equivalent.
