Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician

Starch Pet Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant and/or Veterinary Technician with 3+ years of experience in veterinary medicine to join our compassionate, team-oriented hospital. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care throughout every stage of a pet’s life and are proud to be a trusted part of the local community for over 70 years.

About Us

Starch Pet Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility offering a comprehensive suite of services designed to support pets through every stage of life. Our services include wellness care, dentistry, diagnostic testing, soft-tissue surgery, and more. We are also proud to provide orthopedic surgery services for joint, bone, and ligament conditions to help pets regain mobility and comfort.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in veterinary medicine (required)
  • Strong technical skills and readiness to be fully utilized
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and communicative
