We're looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help us deliver excellent veterinary care in a welcoming, supportive environment. What You'll Do:
Assist with Patient Care: You'll be right there with our veterinarians, helping with everything from routine exams to more involved procedures. You'll be hands-on in every part of the process!
Client Communication: You'll interact with pet parents, explaining treatments, answering questions, and providing guidance on how to care for their pets. Your friendly demeanor will help build strong relationships with clients.
Lab Support: Collect samples and run basic lab tests, providing important information to the veterinary team to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
Supply and Facility Maintenance: Make sure the clinic is well-stocked and organized, and assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Educate Clients: With the guidance of a veterinarian, you'll offer advice and information to clients about proper pet care, including nutrition, grooming, and preventative health.

Animal Care Passion: You have a natural love for animals and genuine interest in their well-being.
Communication Skills: You're able to explain things clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with your team.
Attention to Detail: Whether it's preparing medications or writing thorough medical notes, you're organized in everything you do.
Team Player: You enjoy working with others and thrive in a cooperative, friendly environment.
Qualifications:
· Must be 18yrs old or older
· Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.
· Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
· 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant role
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.
. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.
. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.

- Base hourly rate of $19.75 - $22 DOE
