Our services include soft tissue surgery, hospitalization, dentistry, ultrasound, and more, and we are constantly working to expand our skill set and service offerings to meet the needs of our community.

We have a strong passion for mentorship and fostering professional growth, and we’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join us as the Lead Veterinary Technician. Job Overview:
As the Lead Veterinary Technician, you will oversee and mentor a talented team of veterinary assistants, ensuring high standards of care and the continuous growth of the team. Working closely with our six veterinarians, you will help create and implement protocols, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the day-to-day operations of our busy clinic. This role is ideal for someone who is not only an expert in veterinary medicine but is also passionate about teaching, leadership, developing new processes, and expanding the clinic's services.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor the veterinary technician/assistant team, promoting a collaborative, positive, and professional work environment.

Conduct check ins with technicians/assistants and act as a bridge between team and management

Manage the technician/assistant schedule

Assist our veterinarians with a variety of procedures, including wellness exams, soft tissue surgeries, urgent care, and advanced diagnostics.

Contribute to the development and refinement of clinic protocols to enhance patient care, clinic efficiency, and team performance.

Perform technical procedures such as anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, dental cleanings, and ultrasound.

Manage patient care during hospitalization, ensuring effective communication with clients and the veterinary team.

Stay calm, professional, and effective during stressful or high-pressure situations, including when managing interpersonal challenges.

Act as a mentor and teacher for technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Identify and resolve operational or technical challenges, always looking for ways to improve clinic performance.


Qualifications:

Current, active license as a Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) required.

Experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Strong technical skills in anesthesia, radiology, soft tissue surgery, lab work, dental care, and ultrasound.

Experience working in a high-volume, multi-doctor practice is a plus.

Calm, professional, and solution-oriented during high-stress or urgent situations.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.

Passionate about veterinary medicine, mentoring others, and contributing to the clinic’s continuous improvement and growth.

A proactive problem-solver with a commitment to excellence in patient care and clinic operations.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy, fast-paced environment.
