**$100 to $130K Salary (varies based on qualifications/experience)

**CLOSED ON SUNDAYS (1/2 day on Saturdays)


Corban Veterinary Services is a high-volume, well-established, full-service veterinary hospital that strives to deliver excellent veterinary care to every client and patient that walks through our doors. Our team is made up of kind, caring, compassionate and dedicated staff members that help to provide progressive pet care while building long-lasting bonds with our clients and their pets.


Corban Veterinary Services has been serving the pets of Charlotte, Appomattox, Campbell, Mecklenburg, and Lunenburg counties in Virginia since 1997. Our mission is to provide quality care with a personal touch. We offer services such as spay and neuter, dentistry, laboratory, and diagnostic services.  We have 8 exam rooms.



About our hospital:
  • We currently have a total of 5 Veterinarians on staff. 
  • We have 2 LVTs and 8 Vet Assistants, with 3 currently studying for their LVT license.
  • We usually have 2-3 DVMs on duty each day, with one DVM dedicated to handling scheduled surgeries, and 2 days a week we offer dedicated dental appointments.

About our team:

  • Our practice has a long history in this community; several of the employees were clients of the original owner prior to Dr. Morris purchasing the practice. Our rural area is unique in that we see patients from multiple surrounding counties and some owners drive over an hour to been seen here. 
  • We offer solid medical care at affordable rates.
  • Our team is tight knit, we have several employees who have been here 15+ years. Several of our Techs started as a CSR and moved on to become a LVT and Vet Assistants. 
  • We have three (3) Vet Assistants currently studying for their LVT.
  • We have had several former employees who have gone on to become DVMs, we encourage our staff to continue their career goals and our staff are great Mentors.


About the area:

  • Charlotte Courthouse Historical District – Charlotte Court House, VA is on the VA State and National Registers of Historic Places. Charlotte County was the second (2nd) governing body in the original 13 colonies to declare independence from England. The area was a pivotal location during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War.
  • Our historic courthouse was constructed from plans sketched by Thomas Jefferson and even served as a filming location for the 1993 movie Sommersby starring Richard Gere and Jodi Foster. Many locals served as extras, including our Clerk of the Circuit Court at the time.
  • Patrick Henry came to Charlotte County in 1795 from Hanover County, VA and his final home and resting place, Red Hill is located in the northwest corner of the county near Brookneal, VA.
  • John Randolph, a member of both houses of the US Congress is also buried in Charlotte County. The two, Patrick Henry and John Randolph, held a famous debate on States Rights in the Court House and our county high school is named for them, Randolph-Henry High School.
  • Appomattox Courthouse National Historical Park – Appomattox, VA the site where Confederate General Robert E Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S Grant to end the Civil War. The village has been preserved and is available for tours.
  • Robert Russa Moton Museum – Farmville, VA is a National Historical Landmark and is the birthplace of America’s student-led Civil Rights Revolution.
  • High Bridge Trail – Farmville, VA a rails to trail location, also a VA State Park which offers 32 miles for Hiking, Bicycling, or even Horseback Riding
  • Kerr Lake – Clarksville, VA a 48,900 acre lake built to provide flood control and hydroelectric power for VA and NC. It borders both VA and NC and offers many activities, including fishing, swimming, boating, hiking and camping.
  • South Boston-Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts and History – South Boston, VA serves as a reminder of the rich history of Halifax County, VA, with exhibits showcasing the area’s ties to Native Americans, the Revolutionary War Crossing of the Dan River and the Golden Age of tobacco. There is also a nod to the beginning of modern-day NASCAR Racing.
  • VIR, aka Virginia International Raceway – Alton, VA, is a premier road racing motorsport resort located on the VA/NC border. VIR offers a racetrack, lodging, dining, skeet shooting, a pistol and rifle range, and karting.

Qualifications

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university. 
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed. 
A DVM who is passionate about their work, values the human-animal bond, will strive to uphold our core values
Can effectively communicate and collaborate with our existing team to continue to provide the highest standard of care for our clients and patients.
