Veterinary Technician Job | Billings, MT

Shiloh Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, team-driven hospital on the west side of Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a technician or experienced veterinary assistant who already has hands-on clinical experience and is looking to grow within a supportive, communicative, and values-driven practice.

We are an AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly hospital with a strong focus on preventive care, client education, and team-based medicine. Our clientele allows us to practice high-quality medicine while prioritizing education, compassion, and long-term patient care.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Support surgery days and patient recovery (including anesthesia monitoring, based on experience and training)
  • Rotate between appointments and treatment/surgery support
  • Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Support hospital flow by assisting across departments as needed
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols

Schedule

  • Full-time (38–40 hours/week)
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Monday–Friday: 7:00am–6:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm (rotating, typically 2 Saturdays/month)

Compensation

  • $15–$18/hour, depending on experience and scope of skills

Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required
  • Comfortable working in both appointments and treatment/surgery areas
  • Strong client communication and education skills
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
  • Kind, dependable, and collaborative approach to work
