Our clinic offers a comprehensive range of services, including wellness exams, dental care, diagnostic testing, digital radiology, ultrasound, and surgical services. Basinview Animal Hospital is a well-established veterinary practice in Bedford, Nova Scotia since 1997. It has been committed to providing exceptional veterinary care to our community in both canine and feline medicine. At Basinview Animal Hospital, we are passionate about delivering outstanding health care to our patients and exceptional service to their owners.

As a Registered Veterinary Technician at our clinics, you’ll have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the specialized field of feline medicine at the Bedford Cat Clinic as well as continue to explore canine medicine at Basinview Animal Hospital. You’ll work alongside a passionate and collaborative team to deliver outstanding care, including:

· Supporting veterinarians in diagnostic and surgical procedures.

· Administering anesthesia and monitoring surgical patients.

· Performing laboratory tests and imaging diagnostics.

· Providing compassionate nursing care to hospitalized cats.

· Educating clients on feline health, nutrition, and post-operative care.

It would be an expected breakdown of 1 surgical day at each Clinic plus 2 days a week of Technician Appointments and Assisting one of our DVM’s during regular appointments.

Qualifications:

· Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) designation.

· Strong interest in feline medicine and a genuine appreciation for their unique nature.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively and assist wherever needed.

· Dedication to promoting a fear-free environment for patients.
