Great Veterinary Medicine. A Schedule That Works for You.

What if you could enjoy practicing great medicine, work with a team that has your back, and still have time for the people and activities that matter most outside the clinic?

At State Street Animal Clinic, we believe a rewarding veterinary career should fit your life, not consume it. We’re looking for a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative, three-doctor small animal practice in Belvidere, Illinois.

Whether you’re an experienced veterinarian looking for a more flexible schedule or a recent graduate seeking a supportive environment to launch your career, we offer an opportunity to practice quality medicine with a team that values collaboration, compassionate care, and your professional growth.

Your career. Your life. A schedule that makes room for both.

Why State Street Animal Clinic?

A Schedule Designed Around Your Life

Enjoy the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine without sacrificing your time outside the clinic.

• Three days per week
• Weekends off
• No after-hours emergency responsibilities or on-call duties
• A part-time schedule that leaves room for family, personal interests, additional pursuits, or simply time to recharge

You can continue doing the work you love while enjoying greater flexibility in how you spend your time.

A Team That Has Your Back

Great medicine happens when veterinarians and support teams work together. At State Street Animal Clinic, you’ll join a close-knit, three-doctor team that values open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration.

With a strong 1:1 to 1:2 veterinarian-to-certified veterinary technician support ratio, you’ll have capable team members alongside you to help support patient care and keep the day running smoothly.

We believe you should be able to focus on your patients, build relationships with clients, and practice medicine with confidence.

Mentorship That Meets You Where You Are

You don’t have to know everything on day one. If you’re a recent graduate, we welcome the questions, curiosity, and enthusiasm that come with starting your veterinary career.

Our team offers hands-on mentorship, clinical guidance, and continuing education opportunities to help you build confidence and develop your skills. Experienced veterinarians will also find a collaborative environment where sharing knowledge and discussing cases are part of the culture.

Wherever you are in your career, we want to help you continue growing.

• Dedicated Mentors, hands-on, one-on-one support
• 12-month program
• Balanced Curriculum
• Community Connection and Collaboration, case reviews, wellness meetings
