Westside Pet Hospital in Redding, CA is seeking an Associate DVM to join our practice.

We are a fully equipped 2-doctor practice in beautiful Redding, California. Located along the I-5, Redding is the last major city on the way to Oregon.  Westside is a small animal practice and boarding facility.  We provide primary medical and surgical care as well as select orthopedic procedures, chemotherapy and dentistry. Along with traditional medicine, we would be open to utilizing holistic and alternative medicine as part of our treatment regime. We are looking for a dedicated DVM to join our excellent team.

JobSummary

In addition to the responsibilitiesoutlined below,the Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a Managing Doctor and supporting medical staff. This individual advances thequality ofmedicine inthe practice and provides exceptional client servicetoour clients and patients.


JobResponsibilities

Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listeningto, and empathizing with their concerns

Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dentalprocedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.

Communicates withclientsontopics suchaspetdiagnosis,treatment plans,preventive healthcare, and nutritional needs.

Maintains client/patientmedical/surgicalrecords and makes certain allnecessary logs arekept up-to­ date through established protocols.

Stayscurrent onnewmedical informationandchangesinveterinarymedicine.

Assists in thedevelopmentoftheparaprofessionalteamto ensuredeliveryofthehighest quality care and exceptional client service.

Presentsapositiveimageofthehospitalintheprofessionalcommunityandtothegeneralpublic.
