The Veterinary Assistant supports our veterinary team by ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, clients, and staff. This role is heavily focused on maintaining hospital cleanliness and safely restraining animals during exams, treatments, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

·Safely restrain dogs and cats for exams, treatments, blood draws, and procedures.

·Assist with patient handling and movement throughout the hospital.

·Perform daily cleaning duties including disinfecting exam rooms, kennels, surgical areas, lobby, bathrooms, kitchen, and treatment spaces.

·Take out all trash from indoor and outdoor receptacles

·Wash, dry, and fold laundry; keep hospital stocked with clean bedding and towels.

·Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.

·Check in inventory and restock all areas of the hospital

·Support veterinary technicians and doctors with basic patient care tasks.

Requirements:

·Comfort working with animals of all sizes and temperaments.

·Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

·Willingness to work on your feet for extended periods.

·Positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to hospital cleanliness.

·Attention to detail
